On Saturday, March 14th, the Victoria Auto Racing Hall Of Fame and Museum welcomed Jennifer Smith and Russ Frawley for a tour of the Hall and the many new exhibits. After a light snack Jennifer and Russ, on behalf of O’Dell Slinger Service, signed a new sponsorship agreement; a first of its kind to sponsor new Hall of Fame Inductees for the next three years.
George Jenson, President of the Hall of Fame Committee and Neil Montgomery Vice President signed the agreement on behalf of the Hall Of Fame. Also on hand was Dave Fergusen, Norm Wilcox, and Ken Keating from the Committee. O’Dell Slinger Service has been a huge supporter of racing in the past and with their support the Hall Of Fame now has more stability in the Induction Ceremonies and jackets for the new Inductees over the life of this agreement. This is certainly good news as the Committee continues to recognize the outstanding achievements of racers and builders up and down Vancouver Island, and with O’Dell Slinger Service on board, will provide further capability in the purchase of Hall of Fame jackets and the Induction Ceremonies for new members.
The Hall Of Fame Committee would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank you and appreciation” to O’Dell Slinger Service for their support of the Victoria Auto Racing Hall Of Fame and Museum.
